These guys are hoping to be drifting. Their raft is about to flip on the Colorado River at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. It's been forever since I posted to IF, but I thought this one fits.

I love the textures of this piece. They are just wonderful. The dog is a perfect focal point.

I'm not sure I'd call this "drifting"--it seems way more active than that, but it's a fabulous illustration. I especially love the dog--naw, I like the whole thing. My kids would have loved a picture like this when they were picture-book age.
